9.7. Set the Junk E-mail Level to High to Avoid Spam

If you receive a great deal of junk mail, you can raise the Windows Live Mail Junk E-mail protection level so that the junk e-mail filter catches more spam.

For most people, the default protection level — Low — is ideal because it flags only messages with obvious spam content. This is the level to use if you get only a few junk e-mails each day. However, as junk e-mail becomes a larger problem, you might find that the default protection level no longer catches all or even most of the junk e-mail that you receive.

In that case, you should bump up the protection to the High level, which handles spam aggressively, so it almost never misses a junk e-mail. On the downside, the High level also generates ...
