4.11. Remove Personal Metadata from a File

If you plan on sharing a file with other people, you can remove some or all of the personal metadata you have attached to the file.

The task "Make Files Easier to Find by Adding Metadata" discussed how you can add metadata to a file by modifying one or more file properties, such as the author, title, comments, or tags. Metadata is useful locally for things like searching, but it can also be useful if you share documents with other people because it provides those people with extra information about those documents.
