4.13. Hide Disk Drive Letters

You can make the Computer folder neaterlooking and less cluttered by configuring Windows 7 to not show the letters associated with each disk drive on your system.

Disk drive letters have been part of computing for decades. The letters were straightforward back when PCs had only a few disk drives, such as A for the floppy drive, C for the hard drive, and D for the CD or DVD drive.

However, in recent years the number of disk drives attached to a computer has grown quickly.
