It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
2.6. Display a Favorite Photo on the Desktop
You can customize the Windows 7 desktop to display your favorite photo as the desktop background.
If you have a favorite photo that you prefer to use, you can customize the desktop to display that photo. In Windows 7, there are five ways to display a photo on the desktop: Fill, Fit, Stretch, Tile, or Center.
The Fill option zooms in on or out of the photo until it fills the entire desktop. This option usually crops the photo edges.
The Fit option zooms in on or out of the photo until it fits either the width of the desktop or the height, whichever comes first.
The rest of the desktop appears black.
The Stretch option expands the photo to fill the entire desktop. This option usually distorts the photo. ...
