3.13. Hide Recently Used Documents to Enhance Privacy

To enhance your privacy, you can clear the Start menu's Recent Items list and Media Play er's list of recently played media files so that other people who use your computer cannot see which documents you have been working on.

The Start menu's Recent Items list is handy because it enables you to quickly open the last 15 documents you have worked on. However, if you know that someone else is going to be using your computer, and you do not have a separate user account set up for that person, you may not want him or her to see what is on your Recent Items list. To prevent this, you can clear the list.
