3.17. Encrypt Confidential Files and Folders

You can encrypt your most sensitive and confidential files so that no other person can read them. Even if you have set up all the security mechanisms discussed in this chapter, it may still be possible for users to at least view your files. For example, hackers can use utilities to view the contents of your hard drive without logging on to Windows 7. That is not so much of a problem if what you are worried about is other people altering or deleting your files.
