About the Authors

Nigel Bevan is a research manager at Serco Usability Services. He earned a B.S. in physics

and in psychology and a Ph.D. in man-machine interaction. Bevan provides consul-

tancy and training in usability and user-centered design. He was manager of

European projects that have demonstrated the value of incorporating user-centered

design into the development processes of several large organizations, and he was

manager of the UsabilityNet project that established a Web site of usability resources.

He participates in several international standards groups, and he edited standards

including ISO 9241-11 Guidance on Usability and ISO 20282-2 ...
