This chapter explains cost-beneﬁt analysis of usability engineering and encour-

ages professionals in the ﬁeld to consider this matter as a part of their daily work.

Methods and guidelines for these analyses exist and have been used for a number

of years to track the cost-beneﬁts of usability engineering in traditional applica-
