Like Facebook and the Web, iOS games have their own unique design principles. To begin, design for games with short play sessions, so people can play anytime and anywhere they want to have fun. Add emerging complexity to the game, so short play sessions become longer and more frequent. And add a social sharing component, so players can tell their friends what they love about the game on Twitter and Facebook. Design iOS games to take advantage of the iOS unique strengths: the touchscreen, accelerometer, voice mic/audio, location-based detection, and so on.
