It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

クラス 図 の 作 成
DAOを設計します。基本的に、DAOはエンティティに対して1つ作成し
ます。DAOには、CRUDと呼ばれるメソッドと、findメソッドを作成しま
す。
CRUDとは、「Create、Read、Update、Delete」の頭文字を取ったもの
で、作成・読み込み・更新・削除といったデータベースへの基本的な操作を
表すものです。
次に、findメソッドをDAOに作成します。エンティティの関連と同じよ
うに、ビジネスロジックの処理によって追加していきます。これも、ひとま
ず必要最低限の関連だけを設計し、処理の設計にあわせて追記・調整すると
よいでしょう。
トラン ザ ク ション の 制 御
データベースプログラミングでトランザクション制御を検討することは重
要です。データベースのトランザクションとは、ほとんどのデータベース製
品が提供する機能で、データベースへの操作をまとまった単位で確定させる
仕組みです。トランザクションがあるおかげで、データベース操作が途中で
エラーになったとしても、確定させずにロールバックできます。データベー
スのデータが整合性を常に保つことができるのです。
HibernateやMyBatisのような O/Rマッピングツールも、トランザク
ションをサポートしています。実際には、使用するデータベース製品のトラ
ンザクション機能を使っており、HibernateやMyBatisはそれをラップした
