SQL Server 2012 Editions
You can choose from several editions of SQL Server 2012. The edition you choose depends on your database and data processing needs, as well as the Windows platform on which you want to install it.
For actual deployment of SQL Server in a production environment, you can choose from any edition of SQL Server 2012 except the Developer Edition and the Evaluation Edition. Which edition you choose to deploy depends on your system requirements and need for SQL Server components.
