Enabling Report Builder

RB3 relies on having a Report Server available. It uses the Report Server to load data models, run reports, and save and load them from the server. On the other hand, like all the other SQL Server 2012 services, SSRS is locked down by default. The following sections describe the changes you need to make to enable RB3 functionality.

Granting Permissions

To start, launch Report Manager, go to Site Settings, and click the Security link on the left of the page. The list of permissions that appears contains pairs of Windows users or groups and Report Server security roles. (A security role is a collection of permissions.)
