SQL Server 2012 Administration and Management Tools
SQL Server 2012 provides a suite of tools for managing and administering the SQL Server Database Engine and other components. The following sections provide an overview of the primary tools for day-to-day administration, management, and monitoring of your SQL Server environments.
SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
SSMS is the central console from which most database management tasks can be coordinated. SSMS provides a single interface from which all servers in a company can be managed. SSMS is examined in more detail in Chapter 4, “SQL Server Management Studio.”
