I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
SQL Server AlwaysOn Features
SQL Server 2012 introduces a new feature referred to as AlwaysOn. The new AlwaysOn features provide SQL Server administrators more power and flexibility in their efforts toward providing both high availability and disaster recovery. AlwaysOn is not a technology in and of itself but rather the grouping of the latest high-availability and disaster-recovery features in SQL Server.
The AlwaysOn features consist of AlwaysOn Availability Groups and AlwaysOn Failover Cluster Instances. The AlwaysOn Availability Groups feature is a high-availability and disaster-recovery solution that provides an enterprise-level alternative to database mirroring.
