SQL Server 2012 introduces a new feature referred to as AlwaysOn. The new AlwaysOn features provide SQL Server administrators more power and flexibility in their efforts toward providing both high availability and disaster recovery. AlwaysOn is not a technology in and of itself but rather the grouping of the latest high-availability and disaster-recovery features in SQL Server.
