Using SQL Server SSDT
The SQL Server SSDT (a.k.a. Visual Studio with the BI capabilities) is launched from the SQL Server 2012 Program group on the Start menu We will assume you have installed SQL Server Analysis Services and SQL Server 2012. When this is open, you choose File, New Project (or just click on the New Project icon item in the left pane). You now choose what type of project this will be: Analysis Services and Analysis Services Multidimensional and Data Mining Project under the Business Intelligence category.
