SSMS delivers an equally impressive number of features for database developers. Many of the features were available with SQL Server 2008, but SQL Server 2012 has some new or enhanced features. T-SQL snippets, improved IntelliSense in the Query Editor, and enhanced debugging capabilities are a few of the changes in SQL Server 2012 that are geared toward developers. These features and the other essential developer tools from SSMS are discussed in the following sections.
