Cultural Values and Negotiation Norms

Cultures can differ in many dramatic ways. Next, we identify three dimensions of culture, following Brett (in press; see Table 10-1):

  • individualism vs. collectivism

  • egalitarianism vs. hierarchy

  • direct vs. indirect communication
