gnome-pilot
Part of the GNOME project, gnome-pilot is the package of utilities for HotSyncing your PalmPilot to a PC. Similar to the KDE, GNOME, which stands for GNU Network Object Model Environment, is one of the new windowing interfaces competing for mind-share in the Unix/Linux world. At this writing, gnome-pilot’s development is lagging behind other implementations. And yet, when completed, it promises to have the most ambitious feature list.
gnome-pilot intends to provide a daemon that will support multiple PalmPilots and users. In addition, the conduits will sync the PalmPilot PIM functions to specifically tailored GNOME applications. The current version of gnome-pilot can back up your device, install files, and HotSync Memos. gnome-pilot, like all the desktop programs described thus far, is based on the pilot-link package.
