Once you’ve scheduled one new program for installation using the usual Windows method, you’ve successfully flipped the master “programs to install” switch. You can now freely drag additional programs into the
Installfolder inside your user-named folder. They’ll all be installed at the next HotSync, even though you didn’t follow the usual procedure of choosing them with the Install software.Get into the habit of putting newly downloaded PalmPilot programs into the
Add-Onfolder (which is in your WindowsPalmfolder). You’ll save time when you actually go to select them for installation, because that’s where Palm Desktop looks first when you click the Install button.On both the Mac and Windows, you can drag-and-drop Palm programs’ icons from your desktop directly into the Install dialog box.
On the Macintosh, you can drag Palm programs’ icons directly onto the HotSync manager icon to install them—or into the Files to Install folder in the appropriate user-named folder. Those dragged programs will be available on your PalmPilot automatically after the next HotSync .
