Executive Tip Summary

  • Use the Calculator with your fingers, not the stylus. Don’t forget about the “paper printout” and Memory Store features.

  • When you mark a memo, to do item, appointment, or address as Private, it doesn’t disappear immediately. You must first go to the Security program (on your Applications launcher screen) and flip the master “hide private” switch. From now on, records that you mark as private vanish immediately.

  • In the Expense program, nothing is recorded unless you specify an expense type from the Expense Type pop-up menu.

  • Don’t bother tapping the New button in Expense—just start writing. Write a number, and the PalmPilot automatically fills in the Amount blank; write a letter, and the PalmPilot automatically selects an Expense Type to match.
