Yokoten

Yokoten means best practice sharing or taking from one place to another. It encom-

passes the methods of communicating, documenting, and distributing

knowledge horizontally within an organization (peer-to-peer) about what

works and what does not work from an improvement project (i.e., PDCA

Kaizen event). Yokoten is a form of knowledge management. At its most

basic level, Yokoten can be the notebook that a team keeps as a history of the
