I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Showing Component Area Without Modules
Occasionally, you will need to load just the component area of a certain page without all of the modules and other HTML that surrounds the component.
In previous versions of Joomla, you could do this by using index2.php instead of index.php. People may not be aware, but index2.php has been deprecated in Joomla 1.5 and does not even exist in Joomla 1.6.
Instead of using index2.php, you should start adding the following to your URLs:
tmpl=component
This gives you the ability to isolate just the primary content on a page.
