I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Add Sample Content or Not
During the installation process outlined above, you may recall the option to “Install Sample Data?”. This means that sample data will be pre-installed during the Joomla installation process (advanced users could customize the sample_data.sql inside the installation directory but it’s not for the faint of heart) to make your website look like a finished site with menus, pages, modules, and more. To see the visual difference, compare Figure 2-3, which contains sample data, and Figure 2-4, which does not contain any sample data. If you are new to Joomla, we recommend you load the sample data. It will help you better understand how to set things up for your own site.
