I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
System Info
System Info provides an overview of certain Joomla and server settings. The tabs in System Info are especially important when troubleshooting problems with your Joomla site:
- System Info
This tab contains basic information about your server and the installed applications needed to run with Joomla.
- PHP Settings
This tab contains PHP settings set by your server administrator that can affect the stability or performance of your website.
- Configuration File
This tab contains the contents of your website’s configuration.php file. Most of these settings can be changed from within the Global Configuration.
- Directory Permissions
This tab contains directory permission information vital for proper operation of your website. Every row in the status column should say Writable in green letters. If a directory is not writable, you will see Unwritable in red letters. To correct this, you’ll need to change the permissions on those folders or contact your hosting provider for assistance.
- PHP Information
This tab gives you an overview of your server’s PHP settings.
