I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Other Language Options
Third-party language solutions are not very common because support within Joomla is so powerful, and one free product—Joom!Fish—does just about everything you’d need to set up a multilingual site. It offers user on the frontend a drop-down menu to choose the language they want their site content to be in. Naturally, this requires you, the site administrator, to translate all of your articles and other site content into multiple languages.

Joom!Fish (see Figure 14-14) uses the I18n standard (http://www.w3.org/International/getting-started/) for software internationalization and creating truly international websites. It also is a powerful tool for keeping track of translations of your content. Joom!Fish was developed by one of Joomla’s own core developers, Alex Kempkens, so it has close ties to the Joomla Project.
Alternately, there has been another multilingual solution on the horizon for some time now called Nooku. It was created by previous Joomla developer Johan Janssens but, as of this writing, it hasn’t yet been released to the general public.
