as high- and low-performing companies were Quest Diagnostics and Cigna, respectively.
Comparing these factors with the implementation of Six Sigma in Quest Diagnostics and
Cigna, it is observed that Quest Diagnostics fullled all the six factors while Cigna failed
to observe four out of the six. Considering from the rst study for the conglomerate indus-
try, one can conclude that except for the factors which were used to shortlist from the
sources, there are other factors which contribute to the success of Six Sigma initiative.
