12.3.3.2 Stem and leaf diagram
The stem and leaf diagram is a graphical tool which provides additional information about
the data. In constructing this stem and leaf diagram, each numerical value is divided into
two portions—a stem and a leaf, in which the leaf is the last digit to the right of the numeri-
cal value and the stem is the remaining digits in the numerical value when the leaf is
dropped.
The advantage with this method is that it is easy to apply with minimal computations.
