It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

タスクは岩のようなものである。大きな岩にハンマーを打ち込むと、それは小さな
塊に分割される。小さな岩は相変わらず岩だ。タスクでも同じである。ある岩が巨岩
と言うほど大きいものかどうか、小石と呼ぶほど小さなものかはわからないが、小さ
なタスクから大きなタスクを見分ける巧妙な方法がある。
友人のアリスター・コーバーンは、著書の『ユースケース実践ガイド』（翔泳社）
のなかでゴールレベルという概念について説明している。心配しなくていい。ユース
ケースを書こうとしているわけではない。単に人間の行動について話すときにこの概
念が本当に役に立つというだけのことだ。
アリスターは、海面を中間として他のものをそこからのプラス／マイナスの距離で
表現する測量の比喩を使っている。海面レベルのタスクは、実施中に「何か他の仕事
をこなすべく意図的に中断する」ことが発生しないタスクである ...
