Once again, meatball the bottom circle, the one that’s
now fi lled with 100 percent Cyan. Press the S key to
switch to the scale tool. Begin dragging outward and
press and hold Shift and Alt (Shift and Option on the
Mac) to create a new circle that’s another increment
larger than the others, so that the perimeter of the
circle touches the far edges of the Watercolor Stroke
paths, as demonstrated in Figure 9-23.

Press Ctrl+Shift+- (-Shift- ) to move the new
circle back in the stacking order, so it doesn’t cover
up it parent.

The new circle brings with it more watercolor clouds,
which do not add to the effect. So in the Appearance
panel, click the in front of the green Stroke item to
turn off the Watercolor Stroke brush.
• Change the fi ll for the new circle to 50 percent Cyan
and nothing else.
Press Ctrl+Shift+A (-Shift-A) to deselect the circle. If
your fi nal eye matches the one in Figure 9-24, you per-
formed the steps fl awlessly.
