
• Leave the Convert All Text to Outlines check box turned
off. If you wanted that to happen, you would have already
done it. (See the Video Lesson, “Commercial Printing,”
described on page 436 for more information on converting
text to outlines.)
• Turn on the Convert All Strokes to Outlines check box.

Turn on the Clip Complex Regions check box. This allows
Illustrator to place a vector-based mask over complex ras-
terized areas so that the edges smooth out.
• Click OK to close the Custom Transparency Flattener Op-
tions dialog box..

17. Print or save your settings to print later. At this point, click
the Print button to see your artwork in the fl esh. If you’re not
interested in committing to paper at this point, however, click
the Done button instead. This saves the print settings within
the document fi le for later use. Be sure to save your document
as well, since these saved printer settings are an unsaved change
until you save the entire artwork fi le.
