When you use the Notes tool (which looks a bit like a Post-it Note), you can click and drag on your image to create a text box in which you can then type a note (Figure 1.116). Once you're done typing, you can close the note by clicking the tiny box in its upper-left corner (Mac) or in its upper-right corner (Windows), and all you'll see is a tiny icon that indicates there is a note in that spot. Then, when you want to read the note, just double-click on that icon and the note will expand. Each note can have a different color and author, which you specify in the options bar. If you find the notes to be distracting, then you are welcome to choose View > Show > Annotations to hide the notes.
