Fixing a Faded Image

The following image was submitted to my Image Ambulance service (at www.digitalmastery.com/problems) (Figure 16.170). It's an image that was exposed to sunlight while it was framed and hung on the wall. To restore it, we're going to use some color correction techniques from Chapter 8, “Color Correction”; some color manipulation ideas from Chapter 10, “Color Manipulation”; and a few tricks we talked about in this chapter. You're welcome to follow along by opening the wedding.jpg image in the Practice Images > Retouching folder on the CD.
