Vector Masks
Vector Masks allow you to attach a crisp-edged path to a layer; anything outside of the path will be hidden both on-screen and when printed. This feature is special because the edge will remain smooth when printed to a PostScript printer, even if the pixels in the image are so large that the rest of the image appears jaggy.
Sample Use: You're doing a freebie brochure for your nonprofit client, Defenders of the Naked Mole Rat. They want the rat to be the most noticeable image on the cover, so you make their logo small and place it in the corner so it doesn't distract from the lovely rat. But at the last minute (of course!), your penniless client does an about-face and wants you to enlarge the logo to make it almost fill the page. ...
