So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Tolerance
Getting the right Tolerance setting is essential to using the Background Eraser tool successfully. This setting determines how much Photoshop will be able to stray from the color under the crosshair (Figure 14.6). If the background you are attempting to remove is very similar to the subject in brightness or color, then you'll need to use a low Tolerance setting. Or, if the background is quite different from the subject, try a much higher Tolerance setting so that you can quickly remove the background without being overly careful about what you're dragging over.
