Step 14—Save Master File
At this stage, I consider the image to be just about done. The only thing that is left is to organize and clean up the Layers palette view of the image and then save the image. This is when I'll start to look through the Layers palette and throw away any layers that don't contribute to the end result I've obtained. If there are any hidden layers that I don't want to trash, I'll apply color coding to them so I can easily tell which layers should be visible (so I don't accidently turn on a layer that shouldn't be seen in the end result).
