I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Behind Mode
Most of the blending modes available in Photoshop show up in the pop-up menu at the top of the Layers palette, but the Behind blending mode shows up in only a few areas of Photoshop (painting tools and the Edit > Fill dialog box). Behind mode limits the changes you make to a layer so that they only affect the transparent areas of the active layer. Using Behind mode is similar to working on a layer directly below the one that is active. Painting on a layer in Behind mode gives the impression that you're painting underneath the active layer (Figures 13.5 to 13.7).
