It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Step 9—Fine-Tune Localized Colors
It's always easier to evaluate color once the brightness of an area has been adjusted. So, at this stage, I'll start to isolate and adjust the individual colors in the image. The most common use for this type of an adjustment is to fine-tune skintones since they don't always look perfect after performing color correction. To learn more about this type of adjustment, check out Chapter 10, “Color Manipulation.”
