Creating a Nav Panel

Create a navigation panel under the Main Canvas that will be 50 units high and positioned at the top of the screen. It is going to contain a step number and the Next/Previous navigation buttons.

  1. In Hierarchy, select Main Canvas, right click to create a UI | Panel, and name it Nav Panel.
  2. Set its Height to 50.
  3. Set the Anchor Presets point to top/stretch.
  4. In Rect Transform, set the Height of the panel to 50.
  5. Then, in Anchor Presets again, use Alt+click on Top/Stretch again to position the panel at its anchor point, at the top of the Canvas.

The Nav Panel's Anchor Presets settings now look like this in Inspector:
