Mobile tracking is getting better and better in recent months, but up until recently, it was mostly a manual process. As smartphones and mobile apps have grown in capacity, mobile metrics have steadily improved.

Tracking an application’s metrics (an app) has gotten more and more simple, but apps are inherently isolated still. You can track each app, but solutions are still being created to track all apps.

Tracking mobile use is now part and parcel of good web analytics, provided people use the mobile browser to reach your landing pages and surf your site. Some programs for tracking metrics make this process more intuitive than others.

There are also new apps that bring all your metrics offline to you. If you’re a busy business owner, getting your analytics delivered right to your pocket may be just the ticket.
