Seeing How Organizations Use Metrics

The organization uses metrics in a different and more automated way than an individual or micro business. With many more branches, topics, staff, divisions, locations, profiles, pages, and sites to track, a manual approach is not time efficient for the larger company.

The command centers for social media monitoring, engagement, and management at companies, such as Dell, are well known. Many tools have enterprise-level solutions at enterprise-level pricing For example, Radian6 has a complex pricing model starting at roughly $600 per month — much more than most individuals want to spend, even on such a useful tool.

Although a business can see good metrics tracking results from manual tracking methods, scaling manual methods to the larger organization is incredibly time consuming. While your larger company is getting its feet wet, you might start off using mostly manual methodology for your listening and brand management information intake.
