Grabbing On to New Trends

What else can you do to foresee future metrics trends? Paying attention is the first hurdle — it’s all about keeping your eyes open and watching how people access your product and brand and what’s going on around you.

Say that you see outlier data that tells you new information that shows a trend: iPad 2 users within ten miles of your business are taking a growing interest in your web content. If this trend continues over time, you can make a few decisions relevant to the data:

check.png Create an actual iPad/iPhone app relevant to your business to turn iPad users (and iPhone users) into solid sales leads that you can track from the first point of interaction (download) using in-app metrics.

As you can see, it’s easy to think of two or three quick things to do to capitalize on your rising trends. By thinking creatively for any rising trends, your business will stay ahead of the curve. Do this every few months, and you’ll be able to stay ahead of the game.
