Forrester Research, Inc. (see Figure 21-1) and Altimeter Group (see Figure 21-2) are less about traditional metrics and analytics and more about analysis of big data and market research overall. These research firms spend every waking hour poring over huge data sets to help business of all sizes arm themselves with the knowledge it takes to solve problems and be better at what they do.

Both companies help clients dig deeper into the problems they want to solve in two ways:
