The Score Board

The challenge of our game will be to see how many moles the player can hit within 30 seconds. This will be challenging because the moles will pop up at random intervals across a wide area. Our intention is to create an enjoyable experience, but we will not be able to evaluate fun until we have a playable game.

The Score Board will be our tool for presenting the time remaining and the number of moles dispatched. It is created with a series of UI text elements that will be updated by a game controller script:

  1. Add a UI | Canvas to the MoleGame GameObject and change its name to ScoreBoard.
  2. First set the Render Mode to World Space. Setting the Render Mode first is required to provide access to the object's Rect Transform.
