We will start by building the game's playing surface. This is a simple table top through which the moles will rise up. In our gray box environment, we have the luxury of using placeholders to determine the relative size, shape, and distances of environmental GameObjects. So instead of a table with nine holes, we'll use a simple cube:
- Create an empty GameObject titled MoleGame and place it at (0, 0, 0). This will be our main container.
- Create a second empty GameObject titled GameTable as a child of MoleGame.
- Create a new cube at (0, 0, 0) called Tabletop as a child of GameTable.
- Scale Tabletop to (1.1, 0.06, 1.1) and set the material to ForegroundGrey.
