Now that you understand why Microsoft implemented Web integration in Windows 98, let's see how it works and how you can control it.
When Web integration is turned on, it produces the following changes in the Windows 98 interface:
Clickable items resemble hyperlinks: When you hover your mouse pointer over certain items, Windows 98 turns the item's text blue and underlines it. This makes the item resemble a hypertext link in a Web page, and it gives you a visual indication that the item is “clickable.” (That is, something will happen if you click the item.)
