Using Telnet for Remote Internet Sessions

The command-line nature of the ftp utility will probably doom that program to the dustbin of unused Windows 98 accessories. After all, why wrestle with cryptic commands when excellent graphical clients are available that do everything ftp does, and more besides?

By contrast, Windows 98's other Internet utility—the Telnet program—will likely find a permanent place in most people's Internet tool chest. Not that the Telnet program is all that spectacular—some third-party clients have more features—but it's certainly more than adequate for those few times you need to use the telnet protocol.
