Disks are objects in the Windows 98 scheme of things, so they have their own properties and actions. You've just seen a couple of actions—Format and Copy Disk—but what about a disk's properties? To check them out, either highlight a disk and select File | Properties, or right-click a disk and click Properties in the context menu. You see a properties sheet similar to the one shown in Figure 15.4. The General tab shows you the disk's label, its type, the amount of used and free space, the total capacity, the drive letter, and a pie chart comparing used and free space.
