Creating a New HyperTerminal Connectoid

To create a new connectoid, you first need to start HyperTerminal. Then you set up the connectoid in three stages: defining the basic connectoid options, defining the connectoid's settings, and specifying the connectoid's modem properties.

Phase I: Defining the Basic Connectoid Options

Here are the steps to follow to get the basic connectoid options in place:

1.	In the HyperTerminal folder, open the Hypertrm icon. HyperTerminal displays the Connection Description dialog box.
2.	Use the Name text box to enter a descriptive name for the connectoid. Note that this entry will also serve as the primary name of the new HyperTerminal file (with the .HT extension), so you should follow Windows 98's rules for ...
