Summary

This chapter showed you how to connect to remote networks by using Windows 98's Dial-Up Networking. To give you a solid background in the fundamentals, I first told you how Dial-Up Networking works and gave you some info on the Dial-Up Networking client architecture, including the dial-up protocols and dial-up servers supported by the Dial-Up Networking client. From there, I took you step-by-step through the Dial-Up Networking configuration process: installing and configuring the Dial-Up Adapter, creating a new Dial-Up Networking connection, and configuring the connection. I then showed you how to connect to a dial-up server.
