You've seen throughout this book that Windows 98 has a Wizard for almost every occasion. Installing applications is another one of those occasions. The Add/Remove Programs Wizard is a simple series of dialog boxes that help you find and run an application's setup program. This might sound like something that's useful only for novices, but there are good reasons to use this Wizard to launch all your installation programs. The biggest reason is that it warns Windows 98 that you're about to install an application, so the operating system can set itself up accordingly.
